Enjoying Fall but getting ready for Haloween...

I love Fall & Halloween ...
I love Fall and everything that goes with it! The changing of the leaves the different smells, cooler weather and all the fun festive things that come with Autumn. Fall leads me right into Halloween my favorite Holiday! I get my love for Halloween from my Mother. She is the Queen of Halloween. So sharing my love for Fall and Halloween with my Family is a special tradition! We are getting pretty good at making Fall & Halloween or the entire month of October fun! The goal is one Fall or Halloween activity a weekend until Halloween. We start with pumpkin picking at our favorite place Park's Nursery. Nothing says Fall/ Halloween more then pumpkins.

Park's Fall display.
White House Fruit Farms for cider, apples and horse drawn wagon rides. They also have a nice autumn craft show.

White House Fruit Farms wagon ride.
We get cornstalks for festive outdoor decor.

Nothing says Fall like cornstalks!
Outdoors I put up my scary scarecrow, bones on the wagon, my 2nd scarecrow Bill (why Bill u ask, no reason) Ghost, Tombstones, my skeleton buddy and some cute fall decor on the front porch to greet our guest.

This is uncle Joe...no just my buddy the skeleton and his friend Mr. Scary Scarecrow. I seen a scarecrow like this for $150.00 big ones so I had to make me one for the total cost of less then $5.00 bucks and did I mention I had to make one from my mom, sister and cousin Garret.
This is my scary, scary scarecrow.

I made 6 of this tombstones the 2nd year in our home. One for me, my husband, dog Zeus, dog Zar, dog Zeke and Zelda the cat. We no longer have Zeus and Zelda after passing away but I feel the need to keep tradition alive. I added a tombstone for my daughter a few years ago. So now we have the family graveyard!!! Along with my cute cheap white sheet ghost. Halloween night I add fogger and lights!!
Front porch greeter. My little scarecrow and pumpkins.

Indoors is about my Halloween tree, my Halloween chair backers, fancy table decor and our Halloween/ Fall dedication display.

I made this years ago out of a small craft store Christmas pencil tree and a few cans black spray paint. A ceramic pumpkin I found years ago at Target and I love the witches hat for the tree topper!! Orange lights and I have beautiful glass blown Halloween ornaments but I do not used them my daughter is a little to young and they easily break. So a few cheap decorations for now but I still love the look.

This is my dedication to Fall/ Halloween in my living room. I like the set up of everything kind of grouped. I made the Banner last year after seeing one that said, Trick or Treat at Pottery Barn but I used Fall Blessings to get more use out of it ...I can use for Thanksgiving as well.

My dining room table all festive!

Loved Pottery Barns but not big enough for me! I made my own. Like always one for my daughter and her cousin.

I seen something like this at Pottery Barn but $$$$ for me so I made Kaitlyn & cousin Garret one last year. Count down to Halloween. Each date holds a piece of candy!

Just a little extra Fall/ Halloween decor!

My front door...a autumn welcome!

To keep the mood going through out the month is Halloween/ Fall crafts for me and the kids, baking and pumpkin carving!! I even schedule Fall/ Halloween photo shoot for Kaitlyn and cousin Garret. This year we needed not just a Halloween Costume for Kaitlyn which I make but we needed a crazy hat for Kaitlyn to wear to preschool. (will post a picture in my future blog)
The Halloween crafts the kids made this year.
Then there's the corn maze, big leaf piles to jump in and scary haunted wagon rides.

This is Kaitlyn and her cousin Garret in their first leaf pile of 2011!
So with candy bought for the 4 Trick- Or -Treaters we get. (Country Living) Candy for Kaitlyn to take to preschool and then trying to come up with something cute, creative for Kaitlyn to pass out for the girls in her dance class it's never dead (get it) around here!!!

So as All  Hallows Eve approaches I’d like to brew a thrilling, chilling, scare for you! Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble fire burn and cauldron bubble the place to be is my haunted home for a ghostly gathering on this Howl-o-ween night. So as we cast a spell on our ghoulish guest and the ghost and goblins gather for the Jeepers Creepers of Halloween and to hit the development of haunted homes up the street for a night full of magic, mischief and mayhem (close houses fast easy candy) but before we Trick-Or-Treat it's a bite to eat as we feast on pizza, wings, sub, chips, desserts, candy and have a few secret brews that are frightfully delightful! We will scare up some fun remembering the gh’oul times it will be a Howlin good time! Jolly Jack-O-Lanterns 2 kids go Trick-Or-Treating and 6 adults follow but we are the only people out with a Hurst wagon and a CD player with Halloween music a blaring!! We always Trick-Or-Treat in style.
This picture was taken last year but this is the Hurst wagon with Halloween music.
This is my Hubby's Halloween mask for this year! He was trying to scary me!!

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Fall and Halloween! Have fun doing all those fun fall festivities as a family their memories will last you and your Family a life time!!!
